Nicole Rayburn
Our Tara has built a website so we can be kept up to date on her busy career. It's filled with lots of nice pictures.
Bart Shattuck
Dr. Bob has built his little place on the net. Not many pictures, but he keeps you up to date on his latest movie adventures. Including going SAG!
Ginger Lynn Allen
Mrs. Whiteman also has a site. It's been around for quite some time and is filled with pictures. But beware, these pictures sometimes explore this beauty's inner depths. Not for children or the tame at heart.
David Williams Studio
David Williams is responsible for the Kick Ass Kisses and Caroms graphics and poster. His credits include Mr. Deeds, South Park The Movie, Real Cancun, Ice Age, Scary Movie, Garfield, Elf, Lord of the Rings, and the latest Harry Potter.
Oops Audio
Ron Meza is the Kisses And Caroms Sound Designer. This Jazz Musician loves the indie scene and is available to work on your project. His credits include Simpsons, Fast Lane, Fox promos, Wag the Dog, and Live broadcasts.
See Our Shorts
This site is filled with a bunch of hilarious 30 second shorts. A friend of mine Tom, and his buddy Steve, gathered their friends together to shoot these little sitcoms. Some of my favorites are Parents,Jackass: Toilet Flush, and most of all The Wife. Check them out, they're quick downloads and guaranteed to crack a smile.
Cartoon Larry
This site is revolves around the world of Cartoon Larry. You can participate in discussions about film making and flash making or watch some of Larry Cada's original flash toons. Maybe one day K&C will achieve iconic status and make it into a Larry Toon. However I hope it doesn't get hit with the ugly stick.

Screening Rooms
The Wilshire Screening Room
We had a cast and crew screening at the SUPER PLUSH Wilshire Screening room. It's a great location that use to be Dino De Laurentiis (Conan, Army of Darkness, Dune, Maximum Overdrive)private room. Until Michael Hall (who digs flicks and likes indies) bought it and plushed it out. Currently it's used for everything from Academy to Press Screenings. If you need an awesome screening room, here it is.
Books
"Shooting Digital" by Marcus Van Bavel http://dvfilm.com/
This is an indispensable book if you intend on transferring digital to film. Especially if you want to use the Panasonic DVX100. The book covers the questions you have. It explains exactly what mode to shoot, what settings to import, and what settings to export for use in film. Trust me this is money well spent. The guy knows his stuff, after all he owns a video to film transfer company and is a film maker himself.
Rebel Without a Crew by Robert Rodriguez
This is a MUST have book. It is beyond great. No matter what field you are in you can't help but be inspired by Robert's success story of selling his body to science for $7000.00 to make his first flick. Today, he makes Hollywood mega hits such as "Spy Kids." The book is gripping, compelling and just great storytelling. You learn first hand what Hollywood is really like.
The Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide (2nd Edition) by Chris Gore
This is a required accessory for any filmmaker. Just as a calculator is essential to a Mathematician, this book is essential to every Filmmaker. Had I bought this book a month ago, I would have been able to add three additional screenings at top festivals to my pile. But because I didn't have the book, I didn't know, and missed three deadlines. The book is also filled will tons of great information on marketing and how to build your press kit. If that's not enough it has the low down on parties and even a Power Invitation list of Acquisition Executives including their Names, Addresses, and Phone numbers. Buy this book NOW!
Clerks and Chasing Amy: Two Screenplays by Kevin Smith
Both screenplays plus some Kevin throws in some helpful chapters as well.
DVD's/Videos
An Evening with Kevin Smith
Wanna spend say 3 hours laughing your ass of and learning what Hollywood is all about? Get this DVD! Even friends who aren't film buffs loved this flick. Kevin goes on the Hollywood lecture circuit and fields questions from How he did it to the most ferocious insect in the insect kingdom. Get it or rent it.
American Movie
If you haven't seen this movie, then your are not a Filmmaker. This is a behind the scenes look at a nut who wants to make a flick. That nut is you. This is also a must have. Very funny, and very true.
Project Greenlight (Complete Series Plus Film Stolen Summer) (2001)
Yeah, sure this is going to cost you over 60 bucks, but you get a movie and the entire first season of Project Greenlight. This is basically a film school for $60.00. It's how I learned, or at least it was one of my classes. Good stuff. Rent it and you'll want to buy it.
Schools
The 2-Day Film School - Dov S-S Simens
This is a kick ass course with everything you need to know about film making. I know I took it and so did Quentin Tarantino along with many others. Save the 20K you were going to spend on Film School. Use $300.00 of it here then the other $19,700.00 to make your flick. For a full detailed wrap up of this course check out my NovemberÊ3 and 4,Ê2001 Journal entries.
