Hey, I got my screener copies! The improvements made in the sound were great, and I love the way the score complements the action. I can't remember if this is the same score I saw in that screening so long ago.
Who are you passing these copies out to? Have you sent to any on-line review sites, like Filmthreat? Just wondering if I should be looking for reviews... |

Yeah, same score, but levels have been adjusted. Also, this one is color corrected by Alfonso.
Currently copies have gone to crew/cast/friends. None for reviews yet, although one has been sent to a contact at Stuff mag.
We'll be using these to attract distributors, fests, and reviews. So if you knwo someone who will do a review pass it along. I can supply you with more.
BTW, how ya been? Summer is coming up so maybe we'll see ya for some BBQ's. |

In terms of passing the screener along: I know no one. Filmthreat reviewed HACKS, but that was thru the director. Now, Filmthreat loved HACKS. You haven't commented, however, so I'll take that as a negative.
As for picnics: Y'all are crazy out there in the desert -- what with your fireworks and all. We barely made it out without the car catching fire. I dunno if we'll make it out for more explosions.... |

Nope, not porn!! That writes itself. It is Full BLOWN comedy. With HARD jokes and a cast of BOOBS!
I've seen you limp. The size of your third leg must throw you off. So, I think you'd make it past auditions with no problem.

I watched Hacks, and as Bart Shattuckâs character Bart Reagan said ãIf life gives you lemons, make Lemon --- AID.ä So with that in mind. I thought you were great and I chuckled when you took off your shirt. I also found the pee scene amusing. This movie is for people who love moc-u-mentary's. Itâs in the vein of Spinal Tap, Waiting for Gufman, and Best in Show. So, if you REALLY, REALLY LOVE mocks then you might like Hacks.
I then watched Roddenberry on Patrol. I enjoyed it. It kept my interest. I liked your accent and think you did a great job. I watched the bonus and saw you get smoked.
I saw the trailer for BackSlash. It looks cool. Hook me up with a screener. Howâd it do at AFM??

Well, I'm glad you kinda/sorta liked Hacks. I'm guessing that you don't like mockumentaries. I think it also helps if you've done stand-up -- like "The Impostors" is alot funnier to actors.
"Roddenberry" was fun because I got to meet alot of Trek people, like Uhura and Checkov. I kept my geek in check, but it wasn't easy.
I don't know how Backslash did at AFM and I haven't gotten a screener. The website just has old info. I wish I knew more. It's finally on IMDB, at least. |

Got my Screener's too as You know...and KickAss Man. Love, Love, Love the Flick.
Its soo Incredible, I love the Final Cut...I have a mini-list of places to send copies off to.
I forgot how Hott I thought Ryan was...LMAO (Did I say that out loud....??)
and That Doctor Bob guy...he was the only one in the movie...I Just wasn't sooo sure about.
(Wait...Isn't that the one that was dissing you up above?? Just Kidding...LOL You were Most Excellent.)

Hey Vince, I have been following your progress with this film periodically through occasional visits to this site and your posts at the VA board over the last year or more, glad to see it's all finally taking off and getting bigger and bigger. Just signed up to the Newsletter, so I can follow it all more easily. And if you ever feel inclined to send a DVD copy to me, I will love you forever, in a totally gay way.
By the way, the animation in the trailer where the clouds open inspired the animated logo for my production company which you can see at http://ahmetnmehmet.tripod.com/ - so thanks for the inspiration!

good...we had our premiere on saturday at the Garden State Film Festival. It was a blast. Well recieved..with a very good crowd. very suspenseful with a surprise ending.
